The test of our progress is not whether we add more of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have little. - Franklin D. Roosevelt-
They may have little but still give honor and praise for what they do have. Be grateful with all that is given to us on a daily basis. Rather is a cup of water, food to eat or a bed to sleep. The smaller things you give in life is the best charity you can give. Giving to others is my way of giving my tithes.
Thanking Almighty Father for increasing my territory, so that I can pass the blessings to others that may be in need.
This is a tissue getting scene. I love the movie and the song. It wonderful when you have friends that will be with you until the end. Rent the movie if you have not seen it.

I am here today Saturday May 9, 2015 with anticipation to post what's on my mind. Sometimes it's very hard because I want the voice of God to direct my path. Don't want you to think I am crazy or delusional, I just try to post what I have in my heart.
Today, I awakened thinking why should I post on this blog? Sometimes I feel I am wasting my time, but I realize that I am posting for me and what I enjoy. So if you see me posting more on some days than others it is because I have so much on my mind. I also post on people birthdays were I have enjoyed their movies, music and songs. There are so many people in the entertainment world that I know I will miss posting someone I like. Also, through my research I might find something that has nothing to do with entertainment. With that being said, hope you enjoy my posting and sorry for being late today.
Hoping you are having a bless and pleasant weekend.
I posted this video because yesterday on May 7th Whoopi Goldberg on the "View" stated that rap music is not going anywhere and it is here to stay. I agree with her statement however, there are certain rap songs that is not pleasant to the ears. Some rap music does influence our children in a positive and negative way.
Each generation does have the music they grew up with and yes, every parent dislike the younger generation music. I can say that I like all music that has a meaning or a good beat and tune. It can be rap, country, classical and r&b etc. I just like music because it makes me feel good and sometimes emotional.
I have found in my research of music that history repeats itself, that you can find some artists using old music to remake or redo a song to make a hit song for themselves.
So I love rap music and will post these videos occasionally.
Love the View and enjoyed watching Ms. Patti Labelle on the show. The song "You never walk Alone" I like the video where she sang it at the Apollo Theatre. That is an awesome video.
This song hit top R&B list in February 1977. No, she is not related to Whitney Houston.
Ms. Thelma Houston grew up in Long Beach, California. In 1969, she released her debut album Sunshower. produced and composed by Jimmy Webb all but one track. Ms. Houston also signed with Motown Records in 1971 with little success. But during that time she came out with a hit "You been doing wrong for so long". Ms. Houston has a great resume of achievements and honors.

This is my favorite movie with Ms. Baxter. She also starred in Ten Commandments. If you have not seen any of her movies check them out. She might have played second to top actresses and actors, she played her parts well. RIP
Ms. Gabourey Sidibe was born on May 6, 1983 in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, New York. She attended Borough of Manhattan Community College and Mercer College. Her work in Precious was one of the best acting. I cried through the whole movie. I can't watch it today because it put me in tears. She is now premiering in the sitcom Empire. Ms. Sidibe has other accomplishments and awards that she have achieved.
Happy Birthday, Ms. Gabourey Sidibe

I spent so many days listening to this song in my younger days. Now I am old and life is still unfolding mysteries. Nothing and no one go unchanged in this world. One thing for sure, we live and then we die, and everything in between will unfold to you each day.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift that's why it's called the present.-- Kungfu Panda--Disney

"I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction. The world will have a generation of idiots."- Albert Einstein- I awaken this morning with Albert Einstein quote on my mind. The reason for that quote is because I had a dream about my cell phone. I was headed to the grocery store, not realizing I left my cell phone at home. Once my shopping was done, I reached in my purse for my cell phone to call my relative to pick me up. No phone!!! My mind panic because I could not remember anyone's phone number. Years before cell phone we were using land line phones with numbers to remember. Right now today, I still remember both my grandmother's and grandfather phone number. Have I become the generation of idiots as Albert Einstein quoted? I can answer yes to that question because I don't even know my own mother phone number. She changed from land line to cell phone and when she made the change I locked in her new number without thinking to remember the number. If I get incarcerated and wanted to make my one phone call, I don't have anyone number remembered in my head. Am I being lazy? or it's just convenient to use the cell phone system. The dream has open my eyes that I need to pick out a number in my cell phone to remember if something should ever happen to my cell phone. There is others technology that I depend on such as the computer. I use the computer to journal my notes and daily agenda, which I use to write in a journal to keep up with notes. Did you realize that writing in school is becoming a thing of the past? I still have a personal journal because I can access it more quickly without using electronics. What if electronic's has no power? What is the backup for losing power? In summary, I will have to stop depending on technology for everything, for the use of technology will cause my brain to be dormant. I am getting older and I need my brain to continue its artistic blood to flow.
You are never alone. God is holding you, comforting you and most of all loving you no matter what.
Even in death Jesus was not alone, he had two sinners on each side of him. Being alone can be a blessing. When Daniel was left alone he saw a great vision (Daniel 10:7-9)
Just as sheeps in the fields, they are not alone. They are with each other with the shepherd watching over them. Sometimes in your life we have to be alone. Alone for soul searching and alone to pray.
Mark 1:35 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to be alone where he could pray.
I know you can be around people all day, and still feel alone. David wrestle with his thoughts, with
praying to God gave him comfort. Psalm 13:2
I am alone physically, but never alone spiritually. The Holy Spirit is always with you. 1 Corinthians 6:19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? you are not your own.
