Thinking about the past may be depressing. I have found the past can give you what you need to achieve your goals. You can learn from trial and error of situation that happen in the past. Journaling everything you do even all the failures, dreams, daily activities helps you to know yourself.
Be mindful of others, but make sure you take care of you first. You can't take care of other needs if you don't take care of your needs first.
Look in front of you at all times, not what's behind you.
